BATC, in conjunction with EMS has undertaken a number on benchmarking studies within the sector on energy use and potential savings.
 
Available below are the results of a bench marking exercise on steam generation which was carried out in Yorkshire in 2006.
 
In 2009 BATC arranged for free energy surveys to be carried out at companies in the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Scotland. Summaries of these surveys are available below.
 
Also below is the experience of a textiles company in its efforts to improve energy efficiency.
